The Financial Assistance program is made possible by a strong partnership between Kids Cancer Alliance and Lemonade for Life. The mission of Kids Cancer Alliance is to improve the quality of life for children with cancer and their families through recreational and support programs. Lemonade for Life is a non-profit charitable organization guided by the principle of providing support for all children with special needs. Our like-minded organizations have come together to ease the financial burden of a pediatric cancer diagnosis and let the family focus on getting well.

To be considered for assistance, a family must be in active treatment, demonstrate need, and be recommended to the program by their social worker or child life specialist. Assistance is awarded monthly after being reviewed by the financial assistance committee.

In 2017, we assisted 28 families throughout the state of Kentucky with over $30,000 in financial assistance. We have helped with utility bills, transportation costs, daily living expenses and much more.
