Childhood cancer is not only hard on families physically and emotionally, but also financially. Kids Cancer Alliance helps ease the financial burden of childhood cancer through the following programs.

Survivor and Sibling Scholarship Program

The KCA Scholarship Fund was established to support young adult cancer survivors and their siblings by assisting them in pursuit of their academic and professional goals. The scholarships are designed to ease the financial burden of obtaining an education from an accredited university, community college, vocational or technical school. Applications are open to individuals who meet the criteria, demonstrate financial need, and show academic and personal potential.

Financial Assistance Program

The Financial Assistance Program was designed to ease the financial burden of a cancer diagnosis and help the family focus on healing. The program is available to assist with necessity items related to the child’s cancer. Items including rent/mortgage, utilities, travel to treatment, child care, food, fuel, parking and other ancillary medical costs will be considered.

Transportation Assistance Program

TAP assists qualified camper families with gas cards to reduce the financial burden associated with getting their child to any of our programs. We never want a child to miss out on the camp experience because of financial strain.

Bereavement Fund

Losing a child is one of the most difficult things a family can endure. The bereavement fund allows us to support families of the children within our programs and honor a child who has passed away. We hope this provides some comfort to our families as they plan services for their loved one.
